Adil Karam

Throughout his career, Adil has demonstrated a profound ability to develop and implement comprehensive IT security strategies that encompass all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). His expertise extends to intricate threat modeling, static and dynamic application security testing (SAST/DAST), and software composition analysis (SCA) within continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. His strategic initiatives have consistently resulted in significant reductions in application security risks—up to 80%—and the achievement of key compliance benchmarks, including SOC 2, PCI, HITRUST and ISO27001.

In his recent role as a CISO for a technology firm, Adil took executive ownership of security, risk, and compliance programs, establishing and supporting a hybrid multi-cloud hosted architecture. His leadership led to marked reductions in security risks and the successful implementation of DevSecOps and agile methodologies.

Previously, as a VP of Information Security, Adil directed the strategic direction of the enterprise’s security from a hybrid-cloud architecture perspective, supporting successful merger and acquisition and achieving significant cost reductions through enhanced security practices.
